Start your day surrounded by the most spectacular landscapes of the Central Volcanic Mountain Range. We begin our journey with a comfortable hotel pick-up (6:30 a.m. in San José / 7:00 a.m. in Alajuela) heading towards the Alajuela highlands. Our first strategic stop will be at La Casita del Café, where you can savor our premium export-grade coffee while enjoying unparalleled views of the plantations.
🥾 The Volcanic Experience
At Poás Volcano National Park, we will embark on two unforgettable hikes in a mystical setting:
- Active Crater: An awe-inspiring hike toward one of the largest craters in the world.
- Botos Lagoon: A trail through the cloud forest that leads us to this beautiful extinct crater. Before leaving, you will have time to explore the modern Visitors Center and its "Flor de Fuego" souvenir shop.
🏍️ ATV Adrenaline Rush
In the picturesque town of Poasito, the adventure goes up a notch. After a brief safety briefing and gear fitting, you will enjoy a 2-hour guided ATV tour through mountain trails. We will ride through local farms, forests, and a traditional dairy farm, blending ecotourism with pure excitement. The route includes key stops at scenic viewpoints and access to a hidden gem: a beautiful waterfall nestled in nature.
